I am all about being a culinary adventurer. Trying new cuisines and new dishes is a thrilling experience, and one that I often relish in (was that a food pun)? When I heard Sacha’s Café on Pleasantburg was serving some amazing Latin food, I had to try it. On a recent Saturday, my friend and I decided to visit Sacha’s. It was after the usual lunch hour (around 1:30), but Sacha’s still drew a relatively large crowd. That being said, the size of the building is somewhat deceptive. You see a packed parking lot and a tiny building and you think, “We’re never going to get a table.” However, Sacha’s is much bigger than it appears.
I’m human, so I can admit that I get excited about food. When I hear about a particularly delectable sounding place, my mouth instantly starts watering. That is the case with Hare & Field in Travelers Rest. I had heard about a new Gastropub opening on Main Street TR, but my interest wasn’t truly piqued until I saw an Instagram post featuring a savory funnel cake (just look at it here). It was then that I knew I HAD to try Hare & Field.

I don’t know about you, but I can always go for Mexican food. Chips, salsa, cheese, and tortillas. No matter the occasion, I am totally cool with putting these foodstuffs into my mouth. That being said, everyone has their favorite Mexican restaurant, one that is your go to. Going anywhere else, frankly, feels like cheating. I know I felt this way, until I experienced the amazing food at El Poblano in Union, SC. I have been visiting El Poblano for quite some time now, but I knew it was time for them to get some Forked Foodie love.

There are some foods that just feel like a warm hug for your body and soul. Biscuits are a perfect example of one of these foods. Simultaneously fluffy and dense, biscuits are a chameleon of the food world.
